Estonia's producer price inflation quickened slightly in January, data released by Statistics Estonia showed Thursday.
The producer price index increased 3.1 percent on an annual basis in January, slightly faster than the 3 percent growth seen in December.
Prices in the mining sector grew 0.8 percent year-on-year, while manufacturing prices rose 2.9 percent during the month. There was a 6.4 percent annual growth in output prices of energy products.
Month-on-month, overall output prices moved up 0.7 percent in January, the agency said.
At the same time, the export price index decreased 0.2 percent on an monthly basis in January, while year-on-year it advanced 7.3 percent. The import price index moved up 1.2 percent month-on-month, taking the annual growth to 5.2 percent.
